My Work

I work as a lecturer in a university. I teach in the school of electrical and electronic engineering and I research in engineering topics like wireless networking and Internet of Things (IoT) systems… what’s that! Ask and you might find out :P

My Typical Day

Each day can be quite different. I sometimes have meetings with colleagues in different countries from all across the world, so timetabling can be tricky. Some days I spend more time teaching a class while others are spent in the field (literally in a field) deploying sensors!

What I'd do with the prize money

I think Internet of things (IoT) sensors can be useful tools for environmental monitoring. I would use the prize money to set up an interactive seminar for students to learn how to program IoT sensors for use in a public environmental observation network.
