There are many different blood vessels in the human body. The biggest one, called aorta, that supplies your lower body half with blood is about the thickness of your thumb. The smallest ones that connect the vessels coming from your heart with the vessels going back to your heart are five times thinner than your hair. So blood vessel sizes vary by a factor of 2000!
