No, I wanted to work on something related to nature and if possible mountains.

I never understood what ‘being a scientist’ meant. I did not have any exposure to it in school or even many years later.
I wanted to be a Vet to save animal lives. Since I scored better in Math and Physics, I got into a great engineering school instead. It was different, and I just continued to enjoy the learning journey.
I first experienced research during my Masters degree and I liked it. So, I gave it a shot.
and Voila, 5 years later I was a scientist with a PhD degree.

No, I did not know what I would like to do/work for a quite long time because I had an interest in many different things. I also did not really know what a certain job really looked like.

Growing up it wasn’t my aim to be a scientist. I only started thinking about becoming a scientist when I was 16-17 years old.

When I was very little I had clear that I wanted to be a teacher but as I was growing I realized that I prefered to be a researcher, and who knows if at some point I am also lecturer or professor, meaning to do both đŸ˜‰
