I knew I wanted to do science in university when I was around 16 years old, but I would say I began to call myself a scientist when I graduated from university when I was 21.

I guess I would have called myself a scientist after I graduated from college so I was 22 years old.

If ‘scientist’ is merely a job, I was 23 years old when I first got paid to work in a lab. The passion for science came before that.
