My PhD, in this project I try to understand what happen to the mountains that were in Ireland 300 million years ago and for that I use a new technique that is revolutionary in geology and that could allow to work on more type of rocks than it was possible before.

My PhD project that I’m working on where I’m trying to find new medicines or new ways to treat infections caused by bacteria. I’m currently testing sugars and proteins found in different animal’s milk to see if they can kill the bacteria that can make babies sick.

All of my projects were interesting, but maybe most fun was to develop a new technique to take images of DNA molecules with a level of detail not seen before

My current project is very intersting because we are investigating certain bacteria that live in our gut to have potential to improve our health. But my previous project was very interesting as well, since I was analysing different yeast that ferment red wine and their effect on the quality of the final wine.
