      I wanted to understand better natural things surrounding me, how they work, why they are in the way they are, what did they do to survive until that day.

      Other scientists who knew so much more than I did when I did experiments in the lab during my master thesis, so I wanted to follow their footsteps.

      I just loved the way its a job where you can discover something totally new, that no one has ever known before.

      And if you are lucky we can use that knowledge to try and help people live longer and better lives (in my case cancer patients).

      My biology teacher in secondary inspired me to study science. I was always interested in how things worked and why we need them or why they exist.

      When I was younger my dad was diagnosed with cancer, which inspired me to become a researcher to develop new medicines for illnesses like cancer.
