A lot of things, that’s a complicated question. I would say that it includes emotions, the capacity of self-reflection (being aware of yourself in your surounding), the capacity of empathy (even if it’s more and more rare in the population nowadays).
I’d say self-consciousness. This means that you know that you exist and that you are going to die sometime. Yet it is not clear if some animals also are aware of themselves. Social bonds for sure are also very important but are not specific to the human race.
This is probably one of the longest discussed topics in history. Its like a Darwin question. đŸ™‚ The closest answer humans, to the best of my understanding, have found for it has been that we are sentient. Even in robotics, they explore this concept for the electronics and artificial intelligence to come ‘alive’.
Humans are mammals. Our closest living relatives would be apes like the chimpanzee. Humans have very complex brains which are bigger than a brain from an ape. Our big brain gives us the ability to think, speak, feel emotions and understand languages.
What a deep question! I would have to say that it’s our consciousness and intelligence that separates us form all other species. We have the ability to adapt to our environment in such unique ways. One of which is that we developed vocal cords to enable us to communicate more effectively with one another!
Multiple things, but as other scientists previously mentioned, I would highlight being rational, logical, the self-consciousness, intelligence, emotions, empathy and biological, physiological and psycological complexity.
