Probably the flexibility of my schedule and the ability to develop and research the questions I’m most interested in.

It’s the flexibility of it. First the flexibility of mind, I don’t have anyone to tell me what I should think or what I should do, we are all equal as scientists. If I want to work on a subject rather than another, I can. Secondly the flexibility of working hours, every day is different and I’m not even sure of what I will do tomorrow, if I want to start my day earlier or later I can. If I want to take a day of and it won’t impact too much my work, I can.
I agree with Lyndsey, I like the flexibility of my schedule, that I can do a different experiment everyday and some days I’m teaching college students in the lab.
