Great question!
Think of cancer like cars- there are lots of different models and makes (many types of cancer). Even if you have the same make and model as someone else (both same cancer) they break in the different ways (i.e. car wont run; you both have cancer) but for completely different reasons. One might have a flat tyre, another a broken engine- same outcome- wont work (eg both have cancer). Each needs a different fix- and thats why we need more treatments for breast cancer, because everyones cancers are different. The more treatments we have the better we can treat each patient, and we can combine different drugs to help kill the cancer cells better.
We are really changing cancer from a disease that kills you, to one you can live with.
