Yes. I am bored with my job from time to time, mostly it’s interesting and I’m delighted to say I haven’t hated my job, but it can get tedious.
In order to do an experiment, you need to repeat it a few times to make sure the result you’re getting is valid and not a fluke. I find the first experiment exciting, and the subsequent ones boring to do (I know what to expect and there’s nothing “new”). It’s satisfying to get the results confirmed, but it’s not exactly thrilling.
No my research field is really challenging and its a comparatively new research field. So everyday you learn something which is now. And I am lucky that I have a wonderful supervisor 🙂
