      The Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee). He was the first Doctor I discovered and he was the only Doctor who actually worked as scientist!

    I gotta say I love Peter Capaldi so far. His role as Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of it, is an all time TV classic. In that role he is so funny as the vicious foul-mouthed and truely devious and you can see that he has brought a bit if this to the Doctor; you still not sure if he is or is not a nice guy, but he certainly has the arrogance of Malcolm Tucker. He keeps you guessing and I like that.
