Be a scientist! Take a magnifying glass and look at any LCD or TV screen and you’ll see its made up of packages of 3 colours (green, blue and red). These packages are called pixels. The more pixels the sharper the picture.
The computer or circuitry in the TV controls the brightness of each of the three colours in each pixel. Picture of a nice red tomato….red to full brightness and green and blue turned down. Picture of a green field…green up full and red and blue down. Picture of a purple flower…..blue and red turned up bright and green off.
Every colour imaginable can be created and the processing power to control 1920 x 1080 resolution ( that’s over 2 million pixels) to get the right colour in just the right spot at just the right time in a moving picture is incredible.
