• Question: What came first, the chicken or the egg?

      Hi fedora and alanamaguire.,

      this question is again leading us to a cause effect relation. Whether chicken caused egg or egg caused chicken. However the answer is very simple. As per theory of evolution species change over time via mutation and natural reproduction. Therefore, 1st chicken egg was conceived not by a chicken but a bird like very similar of chicken. Some mutation took place either during conception or inside egg and then it eventually gave birth of chicken.

      Egg. Animals before chickens had eggs.
      Also, scrambled egg for breakfast, which comes before chicken soup for lunch. #deepphilosophy

      Yes the egg has been used by many creatures including dinosaurs, but in terms of chickens I’m gonna say the chicken came first as its like saying which came first the kid or the patent, so the the parent……the chicken.
