• Question: @Ciarán , do you think Ireland will have a bad winter?

      I reckon it will be quite bad, yes, the last few winters have bee awfully cold. I had some friends in Sligo a couple of years ago who had such cold weather that their heating stopped working because even the oil had frozen solid!

      There probably won’t be much snow though, Ireland’s winters tend to be very wet. So there’ll be storms and rain and loads of bad weather, but unfortunately I don’t think there’ll be a chance to make a snowman. Shame, really, I’d love a good snowfall. Haven’t had a snowball fight in years 🙁
