      Hello!

Very difficult to concentrate. There is always something happening in my office with my work mates, or there are tea and coffee at the university, or I distract myself by going to the cafeteria to buy snacks.
Of course there is the internet too and all the news, gossip, games and also questions to be answered from I’m a scientist students 😉
      – I try to be less distracted, but its very difficult!

Oh, I’m so easily distracted it’s not even OH LOOK A BIRD!

      Ahem.

Yes, distractions are hard to avoid. In a big lab like where I work I’ve to share space and equipment with at least 8 other scientists, which leads to chats and joking about and not getting much work done…

Then the canteen at work is run by a chef that just makes the BEST food. Mad props to Damien, his chorizo burgers are just to die for. That makes it far too tempting to nip down to the canteen for a cuppa and a bite to eat!

Then most of the analysis tools I use are remotely accessed through the internet, and we all know how distracting the internet is…
