I’d really love to meet Terry Pratchett, author of the Discworld series of books. Those books were like my bible. Probably better than the bible in fact. The bible didn’t have an orangutan librarian who beat you up if you called him a monkey. Alas, he’s very ill these days. I went to the Irish discworld Convention last year in the hopes of meeting him, but he had to cancel his visit due to poor health. I doubt I’ll get the chance now 🙁

I would like to meet Albert Einsten, he played the violin and I play the piano, so we could talk about his theory of relativity whilst playing music.

      Hi Einstein123jnr! 🙂

I would like to meet Charles Darwin, the brilliant naturalists who was one of the first scientists to find out about evolution of species, explaining how animal species change over long times. When he first published his theory on evolution, he was mocked and received a lot of criticism, but he still kept going and his work and theory change biology as we know it!

And he’s the beardy man on your £10 note! When Charles was only 22 years old when he boarded the Beagle in 1831 and undertook a journey around the world.

Find out more about his journey here:

If you look closely at the £10 note, can you see his ship? During his journey, which took him five years, he discovered a lot of animals and plants no one had seen before, two of them are on the £10 note and of course a scientists most important piece of equipment: his magnifying lens!

I’d really like to meet a female Psychologist called Dorothy Bishop. She is very clever and VERY funny. She has carried out lots of research on children’s disorders. She also has big discussions with scientists who are making lots of mistakes, to make sure that parents and teachers get good information so that they can make good decisions. She is brilliant, I’d like to have a cup of tea with her!
