Hiya!
I think so! When I was younger I would always look into nature, ask questions and trying to answer them. One summer my grandpa allowed me to get a little tank and catch some small fish from our local river because I kept asking questions about them!
We were observing them the whole summer in the tank. I learned what they eat, where they liked to hide in the tank, that they can change colour, that they need oxygen and so on. Thats when I really wanted to be a scientist! I was about 9 years old!
Pretty much, only I thought I’d be able to fly and shoot lasers from my eyes by now with all the science I was going to do. Oh well, poo is pretty cool too.
I cannot remember a time when I didn’t really want to do science. I always loved finding new things out, and I was lucky enough to have family and teachers that encouraged it.
