      Hiya!

Mine is marine biology! That’s because I love diving and spending time near the sea. The animals that live in the sea are very cool as well! And we know more about the surface of the moon than we know about the bottom of the oceans! So there is still so much to explore!

I like microbiology the best. Micro-organisms are fascinating little things, and can teach us a whole lot about lot of things: There are bacteria that evolved to be able to digest nylon. They were found in lakes where nylon factories dumped their waste water, which contained a lot of tiny bits of nylon. We only invented nylon in the last 80 years, so this is a fantastic example of how quickly they can adapt to their environment.

There are just so many types of bacteria and viruses, and they do such cool things, I can’t get enough of learning about them 🙂
