      Hey Hasafan,

      different reasons again ;)! Some cows moo when they are stressed or scared, for example if they are separated from each other or when a calf has lots its mother. Its a signal that allows them to find each other again.

      Cows also tend to moo when they are in heat to attract male attention, while males moo when they are trying to impress their females.

      Mooing is also a signal. Especially when a tractor or a person approaches during feeding time: it alerts other cows in the herd that it is feeding time.
