      Hey dudets!

      They think that crying had an advantage in evolution, which is why we still have it.
      Some scientists think that tears show other people, especially aggressors that the crier is incapable of meaning harm and poses no treat. Its also possible that crying is a clear signal that the person is in distress, pain or danger and needs help. Babies cry for example to signal that they are hungry or cold or in pain.
      Other scientists think that we have evolved tears to keep our eye moist and free of harmful bacteria.
