      Hey Megan and Alissa

      that’s because snow consists of lots of very small ice crystals, which have tiny pockets of air in-between them. Unlike ice, where there is no such space, colour gets reflected in snow, which means that light that hits snow is bouncing off the edges of the millions of crystals which gives it an overall white look (which is the colour of light), which is reflected out.
