      Hello,

      that is because white light consists of different colours with different wave lengths, which can be seen if you get a light beam through a prism. Just as with a rainbow there’s red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.

      When the white light from the sun hits air molecules in the atmosphere, blue light in particular is scattered the most because it has shorter, smaller wave lengths. That’s why the sky is blue 🙂
