  The sun as a very complicated atmosphere, and by studying it we can learn lots about how fluids (and very complicated fluids called plasmas) work and behave. Eventually, all of this science will be used to build new technologies on Earth, ones that give us energy and keep us safe. So in this way, the sun’s atmosphere is like a giant laboratory where we can learn lots about the world and build amazing new technology.
