That depends on what part of the ocean you are talking about.
The Mariana trench is the deepest known part of the ocean at approximately 11 Km deep. The pressure at the bottom of the trench is immense! You or I would be crushed by the sheer weight of the water if we were to swim that deep without appropriate equipment. There isn’t much life at the very bottom of the trench, but scientists have found some examples of small organisms that have managed to survive despite the inhospitable conditions.
In other, more shallow parts of the ocean there are a wide variety of weird and wonderful species of fish such as the angler fish (pure nightmare fuel).
So it all depends on what part of the ocean and how deep you want to go!
