      Some diseases are airborne, yes. Some are passed on by tough and others are transmitted by bodily fluids.

      Air can contain particles containing bacteria and fungi (some researchers recently published a study of the air in Singapore and found over 725 different kinds of microbes in the air there! I’ll include a link below if you want to read more about it). But it is likely that the vast majority of these are not disease-causing microbes (pathogens) and would not present a problem to people who are generally healthy.
