Question: Do you think Einsteins theory of relativity was correct or do you think adjustments will be made in the future and if so which parts do you think will be changed.
Nice question, thank you! I feel underqualified to deal with the topic but will attempt from the perspective of a microbiologist. My understanding is that there’s evidence supporting the general theory of relativity and quantum theory separately, although the two don’t really reconcile based on our current understanding. I expect that further theories will build on the current ones, possibly in ways we can’t anticipate right now. Linked to your other question, the graviton is often talked about as a possible unifier of the theories… it could be as simple as it existing as a particle that will eventually be discovered. Or it might be something wider or more complicated than a single particle that nevertheless functions to bridge the two main theories. It is certainly interesting to think about, have you formed any opinion yourself?
