I focus on bacteria, at the moment I am trying to find new drugs made by bacteria that we find in fermented dairy foods and dairy processing environments (so, for example, lots of Lactic Acid Bacteria). I am testing these against ‘bad’ pathogenic bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and Cronobacter sakazaki. I may work on different pathogens later on, that is disease-causing bacteria, testing the drugs that I find to see if they can help treat infections by making the bacteria weaker by stopping them from talking with oneanother. Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂
