I did an undergraduate for 4 years, then a PhD for 2 years full-time and 2 years part-time while I was teaching. But I love learning so three years ago i started a Masters programme in Education and graduated. I am currently doing a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Trials online. So I’ve never stopped learning really. I don’t count it as having to do something. I love what I do so it doesn’t feel like work. When you are making a career choice, it is really important that you pick something that you like, as well as being practical and ensuring it is something you can make a living from.

My undergraduate degree took me 4 years and I started my PhD last year, so it will be about 8 years in total. But the PhD is not a requirement, I am doing it because I want to.
