      I started teaching in 1998 when I was a postgraduate student at University of Limerick, then I began my teaching career in secondary school teaching Chemistry, Physics/Chemistry and Biology for three years. When I finished my PhD I was a postdoctoral researcher for two years and didn’t do any teaching but I’ve been teaching at University continuously since I got my job lecturing in UCC in 2005
