      Probably not. Changing behaviour is what is required rather than scientific research.

      Blunt and pertinent. The evidence pretty much all points to climate change being real and unprecedented threat to human society and if we, and by we I don’t just mean individual people but especially governments and corporations, don’t take real and impactful action now at a global level then I do think that human society, including scientific research endeavours, are in real jeopardy. However, I remain optimistic that scientific research can still help us understand better how to act and perhaps provide us with technology breakthroughs that could help deaccelerate the climate crisis. You might be interested in this piece of poetry by Stephen James Smith that was released for Science Week that touches on the themes that you have raised that I’ll link to below.
