      anti-depressants will only be prescribed to those that need them so in that case, if they are needed, then the benefits outweigh the risks. Anti-depressants have not been causally linked to acts of violence. However, perhaps some people on anti-depressants are violent but there are also some in the population not on antidepressants that are violent.
