I always loved Science in school. I chose Physics, Chemistry and Biology as my three choice subjects for the Leaving Cert. so I knew that I would always go on to study Science. i wanted to be a Science teacher and I did that for three years but knew that I wanted to learn more. I studied Epidemiology (the study of diseases in populations) and knew that I wanted to teach that as it related to the real world, rather than just pure Science.

I was too curious and used to ask lots of questions. I always felt that things need not be always complicated and there are simpler ways of doing things out there.
