Question: What inspired you to start curing disease and is there any disease you have come close to curing?

I like the idea of my work having a positive impact on people. For me the most obvious is drug discovery. I work in early drug discovery. So I am right at the start of the process. It could be that some drugs I worked on are not curing a disease, however I won’t really know as it takes 10 years for a drug to go from being discovered to being ready to be used in patients.
