      Thanks for all your questions about climate change, it’s great to see that you are aware about it and asking questions about it. The evidence we have overwhelmingly supports the proposal that climate change is being accelerated due to human society and economic development. To give one example I came across recently, Japanese cherry blossom trees tend to bloom at the same time of year. There are records going back 1,200 years documenting the date of the first blossoms emerging and there seems to be a clear trend of it happening sooner and sooner each year, especially since the industrialisation of the 1850’s onwards.

      I think that we are still in time to slow this down but it will require radical action and shifting of our global priorities, alongside developing new ideas and technologies to make our society more sustainable and our economies more circular. Getting people to work together and deprioritise economic development at all costs is a key challenge, which imo needs to be met globally – climate change won’t respect geopolitical borders.
