I’m fascinated with the history of clinical trials. It’s amazing what happened people in the name of Science. Some of it was horrific. But we are in a better place now where the patient is at the centre of the clinical trials process.
In biology, the process of evolution and the tree of life, seeing how species evolve and diverge over time as they adapt to new niches.
In science overall, the space-nerd in me would probably pick physics, specifically Einstein’s theory of general relativity and quantum mechanics. I won’t pretend to understand every last detail, but fascinating to me how there is evidence to support each of these theories individually while they are incompatible with oneanother, based on our current understanding. A large part of science is about working in and being comfortable with unknowns.
