Question: Who's your scientist inspiration? Or, in general, who inspires you to work harder every day, even when what you're trying to achieve seems impossible?
My Science inspiration is James Linde. He conducted the first randomised controlled trial. My daily inspiration comes from within myself. I like to work hard at what I do.
Bonnie Bassler is an amazing scientist who happens to be a female, who speaks so eloquently on bacterial communication systems such as quorum quenching, which I am studying (great TedX talks). Brian Cox is also amazing, although I’m not a physicist I really enjoy his podcasts. My supervisor inspires me to work harder every day and to try to remain kind and retain perspective when things go wrong. My daughter because I’d like to leave the world a tiny bit better for her.
