Bacteria are class to be fair, they are everywhere, they outnumber us (some debate over the exact ratio, but many people take it to be 1:10 i.e. for every 1 cell in your body you have another 10 bacterial cells). And despite being tiny and unicellular, they manage to communicate with one another and coordinate what are basically group behaviours, acting almost like a multicellular organism. Also, I like food 🙂 and you can’t get away from microbes in the food chain – associated with plant roots to help the plants grow, helping to ferment things to produce cheese, kefir, wine, beer, bread. Thanks for your question, appreciate it!
