Question: Why is the moon grey?

This is due to the elements the moon is made up of (oxygen, silicon and aluminium ). Scientists can figure out what any planet is made up of from the colour of the light coming back from that planet. For example- Mars which is known as the red planet has a lot of iron oxide, which gives off a red colour.
