Opposite to the common thought that pictures the honeybee as a hard worker insect, the reality is that honeybees just work a few hours per day. A realistic average time would probably be 3 a day. In that period of time, the honeybee flys back and forth from the hive to collect nectar or pollen. The number of rounds she can make a day depends on the proximity of the nectar/pollen source to the hive. Farther is the flower source more time she needs to fly back and forth from it, therefore she will complete less collecting rounds per day.
