It would be very hard to extinguish all of the honeybee species, there are tens of different species, and not all of them are endangered. The ones we are more worried about are the one we use to pollinate our crop plant (fruit and vegetable) and to make honey at a commercial level. Those species of honeybees are suffering a drastic decline in the last decades, that means that their pollinator service is threatened to be reduced in the next future, with drastic economical consequence for us. But again, normally nature knows how to adapt to new threats, so the honeybee will do anyway, the real question is: how many more honeybee colonies need to die before this will happen?
