Interesting question. Brass is a mix (or alloy) of copper and zinc with a melting point of about 900 degrees C and gold melts at about 1000 degrees C. You could form a weld between these pretty easily because of this. It would make a new metal but i think that the new metal wouldn’t be very strong as gold is make of much larger atoms of pieces than brass (copper and zinc). this would mean the atoms would stack weirdly and not be as strong as the brass!
It can be don’t i just think it would be a really bad metal as it wouldn’t be as strong as brass and super expensive!
I don’t know the answer to this question, but I know that brass and gold can look really similar, so sometime people try to pretend that brass is gold! I think that people wouldn’t often mix them together because pure gold is very valuable and they wouldn’t want to make it less pure. đŸ™‚
