Yes room colour can affect human behaviour. It can influence our moods and thoughts. For example yellow is thought to capture the joy of sunshine and creates a happy atmosphere. Blue is said to have a calming effect and has even been shown to reduce blood pressure and slow down humans heart rate! Deep red coloured rooms are believed to make people become agitated and hostile. It’s not just colours of rooms that affects human behaviour. The psychology of colours is used on packaging of products like food and cosmetics to try and influence our choices. Think about that the next time you are shopping 🙂
