In the last 100 years, life expectancy in the USA has increased from 48 to 75 years. Although we have not stopped ageing, it seems that we have slowed it down. In laboratories, scientists are able to keep cells alive indefinitely. Perhaps in the future it will be possible to replace ageing cells in your body with new cells. But for now, for humans, ageing is inevitable.
