      Hi there!
I’m glad you asked this question: Nautilus is a marine animal with a spiral shaped shell and a body that sits inside, with tentacles coming out! It is a mollusk only found in the Indo-Pacific ocean today. It is the only living relative of ammonites, the fossils I study, so people try to understand Nautilus better so that they can also know more about the ancient ammonites, which went extinct at the same time as the dinosaurs! I have a picture of a Nautilus on my profile page, and also of an ammonite, if you want to take a look! 🙂
