The fastest marine animal is the sailfish. This fish, which is related to marlin and swordfish has a long spear coming out of its top lip, and a large sail-like fin on its back. It can reach speeds of 110 kilometres per hour. Next time you are in the car with your parents and they are driving on a motorway, ask them to tell you when they are driving this speed (It’s very fast!). Sailfish work together and use their fast speed to gather up small fish like anchovies and feed on them.
