• Question: How many layers of skin do we have?

      We have three layers of skin- the epidermis is the outer layer, then the dermis in the middle, and the hyperdermis deep down.

      Just the three layers as Sarah was saying. However you have probably lost 40,000 cells in the time it took you to finish this sentence. It grows back of course, as new cells are made at the bottom of the epidermis. The skin is an organ after all!
