Being a scientist can be tough, but it’s not impossible. There are challenges, like any job, but it’s a myth that you need to have all of the answers, all of the time. I’ve said this in another answer on here already, but in real life no one is actually like Sheldon Coooper, everyone has questions and forgets things and needs to google things or look up terminology, or figure out how to do a calculation. It sounds cheesy, but if you’re passionate about something, it doesn’t feel like work.
It can be, but in a similar way to any job- deadlines, meetings and things like that. I think doing science makes this easier though- science is so exciting that you put up with all the difficult stuff.
It can be difficult, which is why its good to take notes, document and record everything, as odds are you’re going to try the same thing again. It’s all about problem solving, but once you’re enjoying it you don’t think ‘oh this is so difficult’ then go off in a huff, you think ‘ok, here’s an interesting problem to solve, now how do I go about it?’
