  You’d have a very sore head for starters! It would also require immediate medical attention, especially if it fractures the skull and makes it through to the brain. If the brain is damaged enough, it can render you paralysed, or even dead in extreme cases. Whenever there is a split head involved, there’s always a lot of blood and a trip to the hospital needed!

  Yes, it depends on how literally you mean splitting your head open 🙂 In less serious cases you would just need stitches and you would have a concussion- your brain would be temporarily bruised and you might feel dizzy or sick. But as Chris says, if you split you head so that your brain is exposed/involved/damaged it could be very serious. You need to un-split your head as quickly as possible no matter what!
