Bird cells and tissues are not like those of humans- electricity cannot travel through birds like it does to us if we touch live wires. We conduct electricity really well, but birds do not, so they can sit on power lines whenever they like!
Just like Sarah said, they’re structured differently. Not only that but birds are not touching anything else, just the wire! The electricity is always finding a path of least resistance. If we dropped down on a power line like a bird we wouldn’t get electrocuted. NOT an experiment to try at home though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
