All food effects the environment in some way, good or bad. Generally food is a part of a cycle which means that there is no good or bad overall effect of food when grown in a natural way.

Food production and processing is a energy consumption process which also generated byproducts and wastes. However, food is necessity of life, its natural production is much of a worry than food processing is. That’s is why healthy and fresh fruits and vegetable consumption is good for both us and our environment.

Yes all food can effect the environment. The way we consume foods take a lot of energy to get to us and this effects the environment. To produce foods lots of energy is used including heat and light from the sun or energy through eating other plants and crops that took heat and light to grow. Energy in fertilisers and the energy it took to make them. Energy in harvesting and processing, even washing and cleaning. Then there is the packaging and shipping to shops and supermarkets and even overseas, then the energy it takes for the shop to run and the energy we use to go to the shop either by car or bus and come home again with the food.
